KALEY CUOCO RETURNS WITH POST-‘BIG BANG THEORY’ PROJECT ‘THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT’
That didn’t take long. With The Big Bang Theoryconcluding its 12-season run, actress Kaley Cuoco has found her next major project. She’ll star in and executive produce the new thriller drama The Flight
Attendant for Warner Media’s streaming platform.
According to Variety, Cuoco’s deal is part of a larger pact with Warner Bros. TV Group that includes a two-year pod deal for her production company, Yes, Norman Productions, and a talent holding deal for Cuoco beyond the Flight Attendant TV film.
“I love that Warner Bros. is my home away from home, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue this incredibly collaborative and gratifying relationship,” Cuoco said in statement. “They’re stuck with me now!”
The TV film centers on a flight attendant who wakes in her hotel room hungover with a dead body lying next to her. Unable to recollect the night before, she heads back to work but is met by FBI agents with plenty of questions. Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter of Berlanti Productions will co-produce, as will Suzanne McCormack. Filming is expected to begin this fall.
Cuoco’s quick return is not much of a surprise, given that she’s steadily worked outside of Big Bang Theory during the series’ run. Her credits include The Wedding Ringer, Hop, Burning Bodhi and a voice role in Why Him? among other roles. She’s also landed a vocal role in the new Harley Quinn animated TV series.
